In this workshop, Dr. Campbell will describe and discuss the current research on narcissism and social media. Topics will include: Defining and measuring narcissism, including grandiose and vulnerable forms, and narcissistic personality disorder; understanding narcissistic self-regulation and how that can be carried out on social media sites; learning how narcissism can be detected on social media; and considering some ways social media can be used to modulate narcissism. The content of this workshop will focus on empirical research, especially the last decade of research on narcissism and social media.
