  • How does my electronic ticket work?

    When you register for a workshop you will receive an email with your electronic ticket as an attachment. Depending on the type of device you are using, the attachment may appear at the bottom of your email or via the attachment link at the top of your email. You can then either print your ticket and bring it with you or simply show us your ticket on your smart phone when you arrive. We will scan the bar code, which also contains information about any accommodations you requested.

    *Don’t worry if you can’t find your ticket – we also have a list of everyone who is registered and can check you off that way as well. The electronic tickets simply speed up our check in process.

  • What is this comfortable experience you keep mentioning?

    Continuing education is self-care so we want to care for your body as well as your brain. We provide high quality coffee (and keep it hot all day), a variety of healthy snacks (that are available all day), cold and sparkling water, business class internet, charging stations, tables to write on and room to move around (we firmly believe you shouldn’t have to touch anyone next to you in a CE workshop…unless you want to, of course). There a small café on site if you want to order other drinks or snacks.

  • Where should I park?

    Parking for Roam Buckhead is available in the Tower Walk parking deck.

    To make sure you get to this garage entrance:

    For Google Maps, navigate to 3365 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305.

    For Waze, navigate to Ru Sans Sushi and Seafood on Piedmont Road NE (the parking deck entrance is directly below Ru Sans).

    Upon parking, walk out through the main entrance on Level B towards Piedmont Rd. Turn left and look for Roam Innovative Workplace: Buckhead on the upper level of the complex. Roam is located in Suite 1400, with a ground level entrance to the left of Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse.

    Be sure to pick up your validation ticket at the end of the workshop before returning to your car. Head to the Tower Place Dr exit on the bottom level to drive out of the deck.

  • What is the schedule for a workshop day?

    All workshops will begin promptly at 9:00am on the date they are scheduled. Check-in is from 8:30am-9:00am. Our half-day workshops run from 9:00am-12:15pm and will have one 15-minute break midway through the workshop. Our full-day workshops run from 9:00am-3:30pm or later and will have two 15-minute breaks and one 1-hr lunch break.

  • Where should I go for lunch if I come for a full-day workshop?

    There are many nearby options for lunch whether you prefer to walk or drive. Restaurants within a 5-minute walk include: Farm Burger, Ru San’s Sushi & Seafood, Starbucks, Jason’s Deli, Chick-fil-a, Lovie’s BBQ, Chipotle, Subway, Smoothie King, pizza, and more. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch or order food from the coffee bar and stay at Roam during your lunch break. Every workshop over 3 hours includes a one hour lunch break.

  • Where should I stay if I travel from out of town?

    There are many hotels in the Buckhead area. We recommend the following options as the most convenient and walkable to our venue, Roam Buckhead.

  • What if I need accommodations?

    Please let us know in advance if you need any type of accommodation. The Roam location is ADA accessible. We will make every effort to meet any disability-related needs in order to provide you with the most comfortable and effective learning experience.

  • How do I get my CE certificate?

    CE certificates are distributed at the end of every workshop in exchange for turning in evaluation forms. We will also email a digital copy of your CE certificate after the workshop.

  • How do I earn CE credit?

    Avant Training is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. All CE workshops qualify as Core CE credits for psychologists, and we will be applying for Core or Ethics CE credit approval for each of our workshops through the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Workers (GSCSW). Related Hours apply for counselors, and marriage and family therapists.  Other professional disciplines (ex: psychiatrists, nurses, etc.) may be able to receive CE credit by petitioning their board and providing copies of attendance documentation and workshop materials.

    Licensing and continuing education requirements vary by state and type of license. If you are unsure whether or not a workshop will meet your licensing or continuing education requirements please contact your state’s regulatory authority for verification.

    You must attend the entire workshop in order to receive CE credit. Credits for partial attendance are not awarded. We will provide documentation of your hours of attendance for your records in the event that you are able to petition your CE board for credit.


  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations that are received at least 14 days prior to the date of the workshop will receive a full refund in the original form of payment minus a $25 administrative processing fee. If you need to cancel your registration less than 14 days prior to the workshop date we are unable to offer a refund.
